Latin American Countries And Capitals

To the east of Mexico and Central America, and to the south of the United States of America, there are many island states collectively known as the Caribbean. You may have visited one or more of these countries before, as many of them are well-known tourist destinations. These countries are listed first with their capital:
San Juan, Antigua and Barbuda: The islands of this nation were already inhabited in 2400 A. C. by people called Siboni.
Nassau, Bahamas: Christopher Columbus set foot in the New World in what is now the Bahamas.
Bridgetown, Barbados: This island was deserted when the British founded it in 1627.
Havana, Cuba: This is one of the last communist nations left on the ground and home to the Cuban missile crisis of the mid-twentieth century. The world was close to the nuclear disaster as a result.
Roseau, Dominica: This is a small country with a total area of 751 square kilometers, smaller than the size of New York City.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: This nation occupies two thirds of the island of Hispaniola. The rest is occupied by Haiti.
St. George, Granada: Granada was inhabited by many Caribbean Indians.
Port-au-Prince, Haiti: This country and its capital were devastated by a massive earthquake in 2010.
Good music, excellent food, rich culture and wonderful people. This sounds like a very good description of Latin America. Latin America is usually the country of Mexico, the Central American and Caribbean regions, as well as the continent of South America. There are many countries in all those places, so don't be late in their knowledge!

Mexico and Central America
Next to the United States is Mexico, with Mexico City as its capital, and a great passion for football. South of here, on the way south to the continent of South America, is an area called Central America. This area consists of the following:

Guatemala, its capital city Guatemala City: easy to remember as the capital of Mexico!
Belize: The capital of this nation is Belmopan: Although it is among the Spanish-speaking countries, Belize has only one official language, in fact English.
Honduras, its capital in Tegucigalpa: Honduras is the nation of its 97% Catholic town!
El Salvador, where the capital San Salvador: this country became independent from Spain in 1821.
San Jose, Costa Rica; beautiful country known for eco-tourism.
Nicaragua, the capital of rhymes - Managua: This country is one of the poorest countries in the entire Western Hemisphere.
Panama, the country of the Panama Canal: the capital of this country is the city of Panama.
